Marijuana Smoke Contains Higher Levels Of Certain Toxins Than Tobacco Smoke

Key findings


1) Ammonia levels were found to be 20 times higher in marijuana smoke than in tobacco smoke.


2) Hydrogen cyanide, nitric oxide and certain aromatic amines occurred at levels 3-5 times higher in marijuana smoke than in tobacco smoke.
